2023 Chapman Lakes Independance Day Parade

The 7th Annual 4th of July Parade is Friday, June 30th at 7:00p.m. This year’s theme is: “Holiday’s at the Lake”. Choose your favorite holiday and decorate your golf cart, UTV, ATV, trailer and yourself in a holiday theme. Together we will celebrate the holidays and look forward to seeing your favorite holiday represented. Participants, please arrive at the CLCA Clubhouse at 6:00p.m. for registration, lineup and judging. Judging begins at 6:15 and awards will be announced at 6:45. Award winners will receive a placement ribbon so they can be identified during the parade. Pictures of the top six participants will be taken after the announcement. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st , 2nd and 3rd Place winners and 4th, 5th and 6th will receive a gift.

This year’s Grand Marshall is Gibsen Claxton, winner of the kid’s t-shirt contest. Also, we want to thank the Plain Township Fire Department for leading the parade, the Kosciusko County Sheriffs Department for their participation and the Times-Union for their coverage of the parade. Everyone loves a parade!

2023 Chapman Lakes Fireworks

please do not shoot off fireworks July 1st if you are within the red circle to protect the fireworks team.

The 2023 Independence Day celebration will conclude with spectacular fireworks Saturday evening (July 1st) at dusk, approximately 10:00p.m. A rain date is scheduled for Monday, July 3rd . For safety reasons, the CLCA requests boaters please keep a minimum of 600’ distance from the fireworks barges or the show will be stopped. The fireworks company has requested NO paper lanterns be launched Saturday and Clubhouse neighbors to please not ignite any fireworks from 10:30a.m. to 8:00p.m. Also, be courteous and stay away from the public boat launch from 7:00 to 8:00p.m. Saturday evening to allow the fireworks barges to be launched. There will be police presence at the boat launch during this time.
