2022 Independence Day Parade

The 6th Annual Independence Day Parade at Chapman Lakes was a success. Some say, “the best one yet!” Adults, children, families and friends lined the sides of Chapman Lake Drive to watch the gameboard themed floats. There were 19 entries with many games represented: Battleship, Monopoly, Life, Clue, Chutes and Ladders, Operation and Candyland, just to name a few. A big “Thank You” to all the participants who so masterfully decorated their golf cart, ATV’s and trailers. Their creativity, hard work, time and attention to detail were amazing and the spectators enjoyed watching the fruits of their labor.  Thank you to the Joel Wihebrink family for judging, the Leesburg Fire Department for leading the parade, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department for traffic control and most importantly to all who came out to play!

We appreciate the support and enthusiasm you have shown for the CLCA annual parade tradition. As we look forward to improve this experience and to allow your creative imagination, ingenuity and cleverness to be inspired, we are announcing next year’s theme, “Holidays at the Lake”.  Create your favorite holiday!
